The Slocan Ramblers
Fri, 18th Oct - 7.30pm
The Slocan Ramblers blend impressive bluegrass virtuosity with a fresh and entertaining contemporary appeal and have become a leading light of Canada’s roots music scene, built on a reputation for energetic live shows and impeccable musicianship (on banjo, mandolin, guitar and double bass). Their third album Queen City Jubilee (2018) earned a prestigious Juno Award nomination in January 2019 for Traditional Roots Album of the Year, and the band has also been nominated for a Band Momentum Award this year by the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA). The Slocan Ramblers are looking forward to returning to the UK this autumn for the third time, and award-winning local music promoter True North Music is delighted to present this barnstorming live band in concert at Marsden Mechanics!
