The Artweek Committee are thrilled to be able to say that we had a wonderful Holmfirth Artweek – in fact it was the most successful to date. We have been able to give a total of £22,500 each to both Kirkwood Hospice and Macmillan Cancer Support – which equals an incredible £45,000 total amount. This matches what we donated in 2019 and is the most we have donated.
We are thrilled to be able to donate this amount and to return to the amounts we had pre Pandemic.
We are so pleased to have heard how many people enjoyed the week itself, we had some many wonderful comments during and after the week. Visitors and artists alike praised how friendly and helpful our volunteers were and how well the entire event was run, as well as how much they enjoyed visiting the fringe venues. We heard how some people did tours of the venues and were impressed by the variety and diversity of the art and artists taking part.
We wanted to take this opportunity to share our donation amount and to say a massive Thank You for all your hard work, organisation, planning and hosting of the fringe this year. We are always bowled over by the wonderful exhibitions on display and the fantastic events that are put on across the week.
