About Marsden Mechanics

Marsden Mechanics is the community-owned hub of the beautiful West Yorkshire village of Marsden. We play host to gigs, events, fairs, festivals, workshops, weddings, meetings – everything a vibrant community needs.

Since 2017 the building has been owned and run by Marsden Community Trust on behalf of the community of Marsden.

Marsden Mechanics is home to Marsden Library & Information Centre, Marsden Jazz Festival, Mikron Theatre Company and Marsden Community Association. We’re also the headline venue for the annual Marsden Jazz Festival.

We are proud that, effective 31.1.2025, we are members of the West Yorkshire Fair Work Charter, and in addition, our staff are paid no less than Living Wage Foundation rates.
