Marsden Mechanics is pleased to be able to offer a Stay and Play group for parents / carers and their pre-school children.
Adult + 1st child £3.00, subsequent children 50p each.
It is not necessary to reserve your place in advance.
This group is part funded by One Community Thornton Family Fund.

We have Little Valley Play visiting us on the first Monday of each month to run craft activities!

Looking for a fun and relaxed way to spend your time? Join our Board Games and Natter group at the library! Whether you’re a seasoned player or just curious, you’ll enjoy playing classic and modern board games while meeting new people. It’s the perfect mix of friendly competition and great conversation. Bring your favorite game or try something new—everyone is welcome! Come for the games, stay for the laughs!

This is a free class as part of our National Lottery funded 'Your Choice' initiative, where the people of Marsden voted for the groups they wanted to take place here at Marsden Mechanics

A course on all things drawing. It will include charcoal, pencil work, pen & ink, and more.

This class costs £6/session, and runs from 10.30-12.30

A vibrant storytelling group for children aged 4-8 sparks imagination and joy through engaging tales, interactive activities, and colorful props. Weekly sessions feature classic fairy tales, multicultural stories, and original adventures, fostering creativity, listening skills, and a love for reading. Friendly storytellers create a warm, magical space for young minds.

Marsden Youth Theatre delivered in association with Cutting Edge Theatre Academy.

Ignite your child's imagination with our exciting new youth theatre class for ages 5-11! Through fun games, role-playing, and creative storytelling, kids will build confidence, teamwork, and communication skills. Whether they're a budding actor or just looking for a fun new activity, this class is perfect for exploring creativity in a supportive, playful environment. Join us for an adventure in self-expression and make new friends along the way!

The aim is a social, educational, fun event which is open to all!

Marsden Community Poetry Anthology.

Poetry is often considered “obscure stuff for posh people” but this must change.  Our Anthology, published by Maytree Press, will look at the world of poetry from a different perspective.
